Follett's Destiny: Our New Automation System

Destiny and KCCEF

Last summer the Richland Public Library completed an upgrade of its library automation system.  The automation system is the program used to catalog new items and keep track of materials owned and their circulation, including check-outs, due dates and fines.  The project was funded by a grant from the Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation.  The KCCEF is a charitable foundation which benefits the communities in Keokuk County.

The new system, Follett's Destiny, is a web-based program that offers several exciting new features.  It is now possible to search the online catalog from home.  Patrons can check if we own a specific book that they are interested in and can even see if it's currently checked-out.  A fun new feature that many have enjoyed is a "Top 10" tab that will let you see the 10 most popular books that are currently circulating.  To view our online catalog click the "Catalog" tab at the top of the page.  This will take you to a catalog link.  Anyone needing assistance in getting to the catalog or setting up their own account can either visit the library or call the library during our regular hours (319-456-6541).

Many thanks again to the Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation for making this possible!
