Our New Media Center Funded By A Grant From The Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation

Richland Public Library Media Center

Richland Public Library has set up a media center through a grant from the Keokuk County Community Endowment Foundation.  The media center consists of a projector, Blu-ray/DVD player and speakers.  The grant also includes a movie license through Movie Licensing USA that allows the library to show copyrighted movies.

Movies will be shown on a weekly basis during the summer as part of the summer reading program.  This will offer children and families fun local entertainment where they can meet with friends and enjoy a movie with snacks.  The movies will be free and will tie-in with the summer reading program theme. Movies will also be shown during the rest of the year, depending on the interest and demand from the community.

This equipment is available for in-library use by community members and organizations during regular library hours. The media center equipment can be used to give power-point presentations and other presentations as well as to show movies.  Details on how to reserve the equipment or on movies that are covered by our license can be obtained from the library.

The Richland Library staff and trustees would again like to thank the KCCEF for its generous grant allowing the library to offer a greater variety of new programs to our patrons!
